No Time for Exercise?

Eugene Chiropractor’s Power Plate Gives You an Hour Workout in 15 Minutes
Not having enough time to exercise is a common complaint, but Absolute Wellness Center has the answer. Our Eugene chiropractor not only offers chiropractic services like spinal decompression and techniques to help heal an auto injury or other ailments, but we also have a workout facility with a Power Plate. The Power Plate can give you an hour workout in only 12 to 15 minutes.
Power Plate Monthly Special – Free Workouts with Punch Card Purchase
Our chiropractic office is running a special that lets you work out on the Power Plate in our convenient, roomy exercise facility – without the hassle and wait at the gym – at a discounted price. Get two extra visits with a 10-visit punch card for $25, or get four extra visits with a 20-visit punch card for $50. That would take your Power Plate workout to about $2 per session.
If you are not familiar with the Power Plate, both the design and concept are simple. The device consists of a vibrating plate attached to the base of the machine, along with a long column that houses the computerized controls. You control the speed and frequency of the vibrations based on the type of workout you want. Work on strength, balance, and core muscles with a lower frequency. Go for a higher frequency to stimulate circulation and receive a massage.
The plate’s vibrations transmit waves of energy which activate quick muscle contractions throughout your body. The contractions enhance your muscle performance, strength, and overall fitness. You don’t need to use weights on the Power Plate since the vibrations contract your muscles for you. The Power Plate is versatile and can support a standing workout or one that includes stretching, lunging, and squatting using a combination of the floor and the plate to focus on specific body areas. You can go for a full-body workout, target specific muscle groups, focus on strength, cardio, or a combination of both.
Have you ever tried the Power Plate? What do you love about it?
Eugene Chiropractor Uses Cold Laser in the Fight against Pain
Posted on 2011-06-29 09:20:53
Cold Laser Therapy Cuts through Auto Injury Pain
Cold laser therapy is a very promising treatment amongst our suite of non-invasive chiropractic therapies. Our chiropractor targets a specific injury site with a low-level laser light, set to a very specific wavelength. The laser penetrates injured tissues, accelerating the healing process at the cellular level. The cold laser has been shown to help restore normal cellular function after an injury, increasing circulation and reducing inflammation, thereby fortifying the injured area. The cold laser can relieve the pain associated with the injury so that normal range of motion and activity can be restored much more quickly. In addition to helping people who have suffered auto accident injuries, cold laser therapy has successfully helped people recover from neck and shoulder pain, sprains, TMJ, carpal tunnel syndrome and many other painful conditions.
Cold laser therapy is a sterile, non-invasive therapy that can help people in pain find relief and healing without problematic drugs or surgery. We invite everyone in the Emerald City who wants to overcome a painful injury to call us and find out what we can do to help. Dr. White and Dr. Herbert will make a thorough assessment of the injury and then map out a treatment plan that may include cold laser therapy. Call us today for an appointment!

Eugene Chiropractor Helps You Get Ready For Summer Sports
Summer is undoubtedly one of the nicest times of the year, especially here in our beautiful area of Eugene, Oregon. While summer is full of fun, it can also be time of unfortunate injury. It is important that you get yourself properly prepared to take on the increased levels of physical activity and hotter weather.
Our chiropractor often treats patients who suffer from problems after an auto injury, using a combination of chiropractic, spinal decompression, and other therapies. While our chiropractors, Dr. Rick White and Dr. Aaron Herbet, here at Absolute Wellness Center can always treat you when injury strikes, you can actually do a huge favor for your body and your overall health by getting prepared for summer sports ahead of time. This preparation will greatly lessen the chances of injury and help you to perform at your very best.
Absolute Wellness Center Can Help With Massage, Chiropractic, and More
Our Eugene chiropractors can help you prevent injuries in several ways. One important thing you can do is to come into the office for an adjustment prior to the start of the summer season. Starting the summer with a properly aligned spine means you'll be feeling and performing at your own peak levels.
Another thing to remember is that you have to focus on your nutrition. We offer nutritional counseling here at the Absolute Wellness Center offices, and we can even tailor a plan for you depending upon the sports routine you want to focus on this year. To perform at your peak levels and to avoid dehydration and muscle strain, you should make sure to eat the proper foods that will fuel your body.
Staying well hydrated is absolutely essential during the summer, especially when you are playing sports. Keeping a proper balance of electrolytes in your system will help your muscles to work the way they should. When you give your body what it needs, it will always perform for you!
Sports massage can be especially helpful for those sore aching muscles that may plague you after games and workouts. This is a treatment that not only feels great, but one that helps to reduce inflammation, relax the muscles, and get you ready to get back into the game!
What activities and sports will you be participating in this summer?
